Pray for Housing!

So I ran into some hurdles the past few weeks as I prepared to leave for England. It's been more of a chance for God to show His faithfulness and my dependence. First, I found out that orientation does not start until October 2. When I bought my ticket, the website read one week early, Sept. 25. Praise Jesus that I was able to move my flight one week without charge! Go American Airlines! Now this turns out to be a blessing because I won't get my student visa back until right before I leave, God willing! Otherwise, I will have to push it back another few days (not my favorite option.)

Secondly, I found out that I am #6 on the waiting list for college accommodations. Talk about a surprise! Apparently the form I filled out didn't secure me a place, proving I could pay them does. I can understand why this would be, it has just turned that past week into a mad search for a place.

I was able to track down a place on the Cambridge version of Craig's List, called Gumtree, with two Scottish professionals who seem really great. This 18th century terraced house is right next to the oldest college in Cambridge called Peterbourgh, so it has some character! And the location! Only 5 minutes walk from the heart of the City. I compare this place it to living downtown SLO verses living in Laguna Lake (where my college would have placed me.) Both are great, one is just more in the middle of the action. Whatever happens, I really just want to end up where God wants me, so please pray for the right situation, whether at this cute little house or elsewhere. Thanks!

Hi Anna, you are so right that the Lord always provides. I didn't get this place but my college is now able to place me, so praise Jesus! So you have a blog too? I'd love to see what you are up to!
